Boulder, CO, October 5, 2017

Annie Fox, an Art and Personal Property appraiser is one of the winners of a Career Advancement Award from Colorado Creative Industries, a division of the Colorado Office of Economic Development & International Trade, and in collaboration with the National Endowment for the Arts.

“Colorado creative entrepreneurs and artists were invited to apply for the grant to help stimulate their commercial creative business. The purpose of the award was to enhance tangible business benefits such as increased revenue, new audiences or improved management practices.”

The grant was used to further Annie’s expertise and appraising skills by attending “The Art of Business Summer School” at Christie’s Education, London, UK.  The course covered the economics of the art market and global art industry, analytical methods in valuation of the art market, and the environment which shapes it.

Annie Fox is an independent art and personal property appraiser, compliant with the Appraisal Foundation’s Uniform Standard of Professional Appraisal Practice.  She is the CEO and Founder of the 4-person Boulder-based company Appraisley, LLC.

“I am so grateful to Colorado Creative Industries for the grant  The class in London was absolutely beneficial to my business and I expect it will allow us to better serve our clients.  Besides learning more about valuation in today’s art and antique markets, we studied the challenges of insuring collections, art law, and got to attend an one of Christie’s auctions.”
